Class Novel

Our whole class novel for autumn term 1 is Journey to Jo'burg: A South African Story by Beverley Naidoo.

It is a historical fiction book about two siblings who show tremendous determination and courage by walking from their village to Johannesburg to find their mother after their baby sister becomes worringly ill. The book was banned by apartheid government in South Africa for many years but became a best seller in many other countries.
