Heart Dissection

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 6 Year: 2023 - 2024

Today we dissected an animal heart. This brought our learning to life and were able to use scientific language when describing the structure of the heart. We were then able to explain the funtion of the heart and how it pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs and brings back oxygenated blood to pump around the body. 

We are fascinated that our body can do so many things at once and so many bodily systems are working all the time! Awe and Wonder at its best!
