Our unit song is R&B - 'Let Yopur Spirit Fly' by Joanna Mangona. As a class we have listened and appraised this song, some of us like the tune, others are less keen because the pulse is softer than we would like. We have talked about how the song is made up of an instrumental introduction, verses, pre chorus, chorus and outro. We have also talked about the musical instruments we can hear being played. We have found the pulse in different ways, moving different body parts to help us.

We have now introduced playing the glockenspiels with our song. We have been playing a rhythm made up of the notes CCFG, with the note being played on the first count of each bar of 4. We enjoyed playing our tuned instrument.
